Position Summary

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Lead Unarmed Construction Site Security Officer to oversee daily security operations at an active construction project in Aurora. This leadership position combines hands-on security responsibilities with team coordination to ensure officers perform their duties consistently while maintaining a safe and controlled work environment.

The Lead Officer serves as the primary on-site resource during assigned shifts by supporting field personnel, coordinating staffing adjustments, monitoring officer performance, and maintaining clear communication with management.

Primary Responsibilities

Security Operations

• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols throughout the construction site.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to control authorized access.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, or security concerns.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and client requests.
• Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the property.
• Complete detailed activity logs, patrol documentation, and incident reports.

Team Leadership

• Provide daily direction and support to on-site security officers.
• Relieve officers for scheduled breaks while maintaining continuous site coverage.
• Make real-time staffing adjustments to address call-offs, absences, or changing operational needs.
• Assign officers to posts based on site priorities and coverage requirements.
• Monitor guard shack operations to ensure officers consistently follow post orders and company standards.
• Address routine performance concerns and communicate operational issues to management.

Site Coordination

• Verify all assigned posts remain properly staffed throughout the shift.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure patrols and required inspections are completed.
• Communicate schedule updates and operational changes to field personnel.
• Assist management with maintaining efficient daily site operations.
• Support a positive working relationship with client representatives and contractors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable personal vehicle required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently while supervising multiple officers.
• Professional report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience serving as a Lead Officer, Shift Supervisor, or Security Supervisor.
• Experience working at construction, industrial, or commercial sites.
• Knowledge of access control procedures and patrol operations.
• Experience using electronic reporting systems or workforce management software.
• Strong conflict resolution and employee coaching skills.
