What would you do? We help insurers redefine their customer experience while accelerating their innovation agenda to drive sustainable growth by transforming to an intelligent operating model. Intelligent Insurance Operations combines our advisory, technology, and operations expertise, global scale, and robust ecosystem with our insurance transformation capabilities. It is structured to address the scope and complexity of the ever-changing insurance environment and offers a flexible operating model that can meet the unique needs of each market segment. You would be part of General Insurance team for Actuarial Domain,  In this role you are required to do analysis and solving of increasingly complex problems for General insurance team. Performed analysis, validation of client data and making it ready for the valuation purpose after making all the reasonability checks. Performed sensitivity analysis by varying different assumptions to get a measure how much liability changes in case assumptions got changed. Understanding and management of property and casualty insurance companies that provide insurance against the loss of real property, tangible assets and/or income.
What are we looking for? TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS Geo-Spatial Developer/Expert: • Strong hands-on experience in Geo-spatial data and technologies, and depth in GIS best practices and principles; Must be able to work independently on technical tasks • Expert in ESRI/ArcGIS tool suite - ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ESRI/JavaScript, ArcPy (Python) • Geo-spatial SQL programming (Oracle Spatial or PostGreSQL) is required. • Experience in Python programming is required • Experience in spatial data processing tool like Safe/FME desktop is required. • Demonstrated experience with 3rd party data sources and geo-coding tools is required • Demonstrated willingness to perform data analysis, and ability to abstract rules for data store and processing. Experience with large data is required • Experience in Insurance/Reinsurance domain is highly desirable. • Able to think independently and creatively • Experience with responding to production business queries and issues in a timely manner • Clear and effective communication • Strong attention to detail • Excellent time-management skills and multi-tasking under pressure • Must be able to balance and adjust to changing organizational priorities • Drive to solve problems and self-motivated learning • Must be able to think outside of the box and have the ability to work in a small, collaborative team environment. • Ability to work with global teams in a collaborative mode • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with users and colleagues • Must be able to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as necessary
Roles and Responsibilities: •• Responsible for design, development, deployment, maintenance and production support of our applications and its various modules using various technologies • Write high-quality software code that complies with design specifications and meets development and support requirements • Develop production ready code modules and collaborate with on-shore team members and IT functions to integrate into production workflow as required • Develop stand-alone tools to support risk analysis, pricing, portfolio analytics and cat modeling • Develop analytical proof-of-concepts quickly to respond to business needs and to determine feasibility and viability • Analyze, customize, test, and support application extensions provided by approved open-source and third-party vendors • Collaborate and partner with team members in other countries and regions to deliver business requirements • Take ownership of existing code and applications and advise on best practices for enhancing tools • System maintenance, documentation, and version control • Responsible for production business support of various analytical tools • Respond to production business queries and issues in a timely manner • Other duties as required
