Summary:
The student will support the Digital Media Manager in managing SPA's social media presence by monitoring engagement and mentions, scheduling content in Sprout Social, and compiling performance analytics. They will also research emerging social media trends and contribute ideas to help keep SPA's channels engaging and relevant.
Essential Functions:
Keeping track of engagement and mentions on SPA social media channels.
Compiling analytics reports.
Plugging content and captions into Sprout Social for scheduling.
Brainstorming/researching content trends for SPA’s channels.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
5 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Current American University Student.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Navigating different social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, BlueSky, TikTok, YouTube, Substack…).
Good organizational skills.
Timeliness and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to learn from constructive feedback and develop new skills.
Proactive – does not wait for tasks to be assigned to them, but rather asks how they can assist.
Likes to create content for social media.
