Job Description Summary
The Americas Commercial Finance Manager for Aero drives profitable growth by leading underwriting and financial evaluation of New Unit deals across the Americas region.This role partners closely with Sales teams and global support functions to ensure policy compliance, governance, and standardized processes.
Reporting to the Aero ITR NU Finance Leader, the manager develops innovative customer-focused solutions that balance growth opportunities with company risk and reward.
The position also analyzes business challenges, recommends best practices, and stays informed on industry trends to improve products, services, and processes.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the New Unit Sales leader, supporting business strategy execution and achievement of growth targets.
- Provide financial guidance on contract negotiations, ensuring balanced risk/reward outcomes and mutually beneficial agreements with customers and counterparties.
- Improve deal profitability by influencing pricing, cost assumptions, cash flow optimization, and overall financial performance metrics.
- Manage financial guarantees, letters of credit, and bank guarantees, ensuring alignment with commercial contracts and effective risk sharing.
- Lead standardization and Lean initiatives, driving best practices, standardized tools, processes, and risk assessment frameworks across the commercial finance team.
- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and commercial metrics, delivering insights through market, customer, and deal intelligence to support business decisions.
- Ensure financial integrity and risk management by partnering with controllership, supporting leadership deal approvals, influencing strategy, and providing recommendations on complex business challenges.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Solid experience in finance roles of increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects and analyze and resolve problems.
- Financial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Advanced English knowledge.
- Minimum travel requirements.
