Job Description
The Construction Project in Charge (PIC) is responsible for executing assigned offshore construction scopes safely and efficiently in line with project requirements and company procedures. This role focuses on project delivery across construction-related activities rather than operational marine responsibilities.

Overview
We are building a strong pipeline of experienced Construction PICs / Senior Project Engineers to support ongoing and upcoming offshore projects globally.
Our client operates a continuous portfolio of rig upgrade and construction projects, where we are responsible for supplying and managing a team of PICs across multiple assets. Current and recent projects span various offshore units, with additional upcoming scopes expected internationally.
This position offers long-term project exposure, with opportunities to move between assignments as part of a consistent contractor engagement model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage assigned construction scopes onboard offshore assets or in shipyard environments
- Oversee execution of works including:
- Lifting equipment installation and upgrades
- Hull equipment works
- Piping systems
- Painting and coating scopes
- General construction and modification activities
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with project plans, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Act as the focal point between project stakeholders, contractors, and offshore teams
- Supervise contractors and ensure efficient coordination of multi-discipline activities
- Monitor progress, budgets, and timelines, reporting updates to project management
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and industry regulations
- Support planning, execution, and close-out phases of projects
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in offshore construction projects within oil & gas or marine environments
- Background in roles such as:
- Construction Project Engineer
- Construction Manager
- Senior Project Engineer
- Project in Charge (PIC)
- Strong understanding of offshore construction scopes and project execution
- Experience working on rig upgrades, shipyard projects, or asset modifications
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and interfaces simultaneously
- Project-focused mindset (non-operational marine background)
Qualifications & Certifications (Mandatory)
- Relevant degree or technical qualification in Engineering or similar field
- Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET / FOET, Medical)
- Strong HSE awareness and track record
- Fluent in English
