Role purposeYou’ll enable a high-performing Scrum team delivering a payments engine and payment services built on microservices technologies. Working day-to-day with a Product Owner, Business Analysts and Engineering/DevOps colleagues, you’ll make sure the team applies Agile practices well, removes impediments quickly, and provides clear delivery transparency to stakeholders. Key responsibilities1) Lead and support the Scrum teamManage and coach the Scrum team to operate effectively and continuously improve.Promote strong Agile ways of working, helping the team stay focused on outcomes and predictable delivery.Facilitate collaboration across Product, Analysis, Engineering and DevOps so workflows smoothly end-to-end.2) Coordinate and run Scrum ceremoniesEnsure all appropriate sprint ceremonies occur and are effective, including:Sprint PlanningDaily Stand-upsSprint ReviewSprint DemoSprint RetrospectiveScrum of Scrums (and Scrum of Scrums of Scrums where applicable)3) Delivery reporting and stakeholder transparencyReport sprint-by-sprint progress to leadership teams.Provide clear visibility of delivery status, risks, dependencies and impediments.Help the team maintain realistic commitments and manage scope effectively with the Product Owner.4) Jira/Confluence ownership and reportingCoordinate Jira reporting with Development and DevOps leads for epics/stories/tasks.Maintain high-quality Agile artefacts and dashboards in Jira/Confluence.Operate at “designer level” in Jira/Confluence (not just a user), shaping workflows, boards, reporting and documentation standards.Requirements (essential)Payments industry experience.Strong Agile/Scrum experience, including hands-on facilitation of sprint ceremonies (planning, ceremonies, retrospectives, stand-ups).Advanced Jira/Confluence capability (designer level).Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Product Owner, Business Analysis, Engineering, DevOps).What success looks likeCeremonies are consistent, purposeful and drive measurable improvement.Delivery is transparent: leadership and stakeholders can see progress sprint-by-sprint.The team’s Jira/Confluence setup supports good flow, traceability and reporting.Impediments are surfaced early and removed quickly, keeping delivery moving at pace.
