Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Solo Home 🏡

📍 Location: Stoke-on-Trent

💷 Salary: £41,036.49 per annum (based on Level 5 qualification)

⏰ Working Hours: Full-time

🛏️ Number of Sleeps Required: 10–11 per month

🔄 Shift Pattern: 2 on, 4 off

💰 Overtime Rate: £20.86 per hour

🏡 Service: Children's Residential Home

👥 Service Users: Children and Young People with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Needs (SHB/PBS)

🎓 Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred)

📄 Employment Type: Permanent

The Home:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist solo children's residential home in Stoke-on-Trent, supporting a young person with complex behavioural and emotional needs within a highly structured and therapeutic environment.

Who We Are Looking For:

Our client is seeking an experienced residential childcare professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

• Have experience working within an Ofsted-registered children's home

• Demonstrate leadership capabilities and the ability to support and develop staff

• Be committed to delivering outstanding care and safeguarding practices

• Be flexible to work a 2 on, 4 off shift pattern including sleeps

• Be passionate about helping young people achieve positive outcomes

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Experience working within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home

• Leadership or senior-level experience within residential childcare preferred

Individuals with only CQC experience and / or who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home will not be considered.
