Sr. Specialty Underwriter - TMS Excess Casualty (Any PHLY Office)

We are looking for a Sr. Specialty Underwriter to join our Excess Casualty team in any of our PHLY offices!

Summary:
Under limited direction and supervision, underwrites and markets assigned products by providing high levels of risk assessment and technical underwriting expertise to determine underwriting acceptability. A typical day will include the following:

• Gathers and analyzes information, applying appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of risk acceptability.
• Prepares underwriting submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits.
• Prepares and participates in proposals to producers and/or accounts negotiating terms and conditions.
• Prepares and participates in marketing activities for business development and relationship building.
• Mentors and trains less experienced underwriters.

Qualifications:

• Previous E&S underwriting experience required
• Demonstrated marketing and agency development skills/experience required
• 5+ years underwriting experience preferred
• Analytical, results-oriented and possess a strong sense of urgency
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
