Job Description:

This job is responsible for developing and managing the end-to-end product life cycle for highly complex products. Key responsibilities include conducting market research and competitor analyses, determining product pricing, developing short and long-term strategies, and identifying innovative opportunities to modernize product offerings and deliver a more unified customer experience. Job expectations include ensuring that product management efforts are integrated with sales, marketing, operations, implementation, and customer service strategies.

Team Specific Job Description:

Bank of America's Global Commercial Bank (GCB) is investing in a multi-year Banker of the Future transformation focused on reimagining how bankers prospect, manage relationships, generate insights, collaborate, and serve clients. This role is the hands-on Product Owner for the Banker of the Future journeys — currently Prospecting, with additional journeys to follow — and is directly responsible for building, executing, and delivering these journeys end to end, from concept through adoption and value realization, with subject-matter support from project management, banker engagement, Salesforce experience design, and data/prompt engineering partners.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies and creates comprehensive plans for product development and deployment, including supporting the creation of sales training programs and marketing materials to educate clients and internal teams on product capabilities
• Oversees a set of products and maintains financials, including managing the investment profile and profit and loss (P&L) activities, such as revenue and profit margins
• Provides information on product trends to sales and marketing teams leveraging knowledge of product functionality, marketplace trends, and the competitive landscape
• Identifies opportunities to streamline or enhance product offerings to fit client's existing and future needs and support continued growth and operational excellence
• Manages risk through implementing and monitoring effective controls in partnership with key support partners
• Partners with internal stakeholders to obtain meaningful insights about markets, clients, and competitors in order to develop products that solve client needs and ensure high adoption rates
• Develops and influences product strategy, driving products to provide comprehensive solutions across the bank

Team Specific Responsibilities:

• Own and directly execute the vision, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of one or more Banker of the Future journeys, including Banker Prospecting and subsequent journeys
• Build future-state banker experiences that improve prospecting, client management, sales effectiveness, and productivity — doing the design and delivery work directly rather than coordinating others to do it

• Translate business requirements into user stories and product requirements, and drive execution directly with Technology delivery teams

• Partner with SME support — project management, banker-facing engagement, Salesforce experience design, and data/prompt engineering — to inform and accelerate delivery, while retaining direct ownership of outcomes

• Oversee efficient, scalable technical delivery, including responsible use of compute/token resources and a flexible, scalable codebase.

• Define success metrics, monitor performance against outcomes, and adjust roadmap priorities based on realized value

• Drive adoption through hands-on change management, training, communications, and feedback loops with frontline bankers.

• Stay current on industry trends, competitive innovations, and AI-enabled banker capabilities to inform journey design

 

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated strategic planning/product management skills
• Strong analytical skills with breadth of view
• Negotiation skills
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• 10+ years of experience in commercial banking, product management, strategy, or technology-enabled transformation, with a track record of hands-on delivery (not solely coordination)

• Demonstrated ability to personally execute — not just direct — end-to-end product/journey delivery in a matrixed environment

• Working knowledge of AI-enabled workflows, prompt engineering, and data-driven product design

• Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM/banker workflow platforms

Desired Qualifications:

• Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, or Treasury Management experience

• Experience with digital transformation, AI-enabled solutions, CRM platforms, or workflow automation tools

• Agile product delivery or customer journey design experience

• Experience working directly alongside Technology development teams on build and delivery

Pay range

$140,000.00 - $170,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
