As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and residents by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional presence while assisting with directions and general information.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, communicating relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
