General Summary:

Role Overview

The Manager, Social Strategy will lead B2C social strategy and planning for Snapdragon-owned B2C channels, helping build Snapdragon as a culturally relevant, consumer-facing technology brand. This role will translate business priorities, product moments, partner activity, creator opportunities, and community signals into clear channel strategies, quarterly and monthly briefs, and social-first programs that educate, entertain, and engage consumers.

This person will serve as the strategic planning lead for Snapdragon B2C social, partnering closely with cross-functional marketing teams including strategic alliances, creators, partner marketing, product marketing, communications, content, operations, regional teams, and agency partners to turn planned moments into audience-first social programming.

## Key Responsibilities

### B2C Social Strategy & Channel Planning

  • Own and evolve channel strategies for Snapdragon B2C social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, and other priority consumer platforms.
  • Define channel roles, audience priorities, editorial guardrails, content formats, posting cadences, and measurement signals for each platform.
  • Translate Snapdragon’s B2C positioning into social-first storytelling that leads with culture, community, creator perspectives, and real product experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Snapdragon’s role as a premium, culturally relevant technology brand across consumer passion points such as gaming, creation, lifestyle, sports, mobility, and personal AI experiences.

### Quarterly, Monthly & Launch Planning

  • Lead quarterly and monthly B2C social briefing processes, gathering inputs from cross-functional partners and turning them into clear, prioritized social plans.
  • Build planning materials that connect business priorities, key product stories, partner launches, cultural moments, creator opportunities, and community programs into a cohesive content roadmap.
  • Manage stakeholder input, alignment, and decision-making across BP&A, Partner Marketing, Snapdragon Insiders, Creator, and other cross-functional teams to ensure launch and planning priorities are clearly understood and integrated into the social roadmap.
  • Develop social strategies for partner and product launches, ensuring each moment has a clear audience, channel approach, message hierarchy, content mix, and success measure.
  • Partner with content and operations teams to move plans into production, ensuring strategies are actionable, resourced, and aligned to timelines.

## Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A strong strategic planner who can turn multiple inputs, competing priorities, and ambiguous asks into clear social recommendations.
  • Deeply fluent in consumer social platforms, creator culture, community behavior, and the ways technology brands earn relevance with audiences.
  • Comfortable balancing brand strategy, audience insight, product storytelling, partner needs, and platform-native execution.
  • Strong written communicator who can develop briefs, planning documents, launch strategies, recommendations, and executive-ready summaries.
  • Collaborative and confident working across functions, levels, agencies, and external partners.
  • Able to move between big-picture planning and practical execution, ensuring strategies can be brought to life through real content, calendars, and workflows.
  • Curious about technology and able to translate technical benefits into clear, consumer-relevant stories.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

OR

High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

## Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, brand strategy, content strategy, creator marketing, or related roles.
  • Experience developing social strategies for consumer-facing brands, products, entertainment properties, technology brands, or lifestyle communities.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to plan campaigns, launches, editorial calendars, or always-on content programs.
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms, creator-led content, community engagement, and social measurement.
  • Experience supporting partner marketing, sponsorship, strategic alliances, or co-marketing initiatives.
  • Experience working on large-scale sports collaborations, such as Formula 1 and global soccer partnerships, and translating those partnerships into consumer-facing social strategies and activations.
  • Experience with technology, gaming, consumer electronics, mobile, PC, automotive, entertainment, or lifestyle brands.
  • Experience using performance data, social listening, audience insights, and cultural trends to inform planning.
  • Experience working with creator, influencer, ambassador, or advocacy programs.
  • Experience developing reusable planning frameworks, channel playbooks, or briefing templates.

## Success Measures

  • Snapdragon B2C channel strategies are clear, current, and consistently used to guide planning and content decisions.
  • Quarterly and monthly planning cycles are more proactive, better prioritized, and easier for stakeholders to understand.
  • Partner, creator, Insiders, and product launch plans translate into stronger social-first content and clearer channel execution.
  • Stakeholders understand what belongs on each Snapdragon B2C channel, why it matters, and how success will be measured.
  • Snapdragon social content builds stronger cultural relevance, community engagement, and consumer understanding of Snapdragon-powered experiences.

This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA and is expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
