Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations & Analytics
- Analyze logistics performance metrics, transportation costs, service levels, inventory flows, and operational KPIs.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and performance scorecards using business intelligence tools, AI-assisted analytics, and automated reporting capabilities.
- Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities across the logistics network.
- Leverage AI-enabled insights to identify shipment delays, cost anomalies, service risks, and operational exceptions for proactive follow-up.
- Collaborate with carriers, forwarders, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
Global Logistics Project Management
- Lead and coordinate global logistics transformation projects across multiple regions and sites.
- Develop project plans, milestones, risk assessments, and implementation roadmaps.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Trade Compliance.
- Track project progress, manage stakeholder communications, and escalate risks when required.
- Support logistics network optimization, process standardization, new site ramp-up initiatives, and AI-enabled workflow redesign across global logistics operations.
- Drive continuous improvement programs that enhance service, efficiency, operational resilience, and scalable AI adoption across logistics processes.
AI, Automation & Digital Transformation
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, and automation tools to improve logistics efficiency and decision-making.
- Design and implement process automation solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, AI Builder, Azure AI Services, and related digital platforms.
- Develop use cases utilizing AI for shipment visibility, predictive analytics, document processing, workflow automation, and exception management.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable solutions to improve logistics operations.
- Partner with business users, logistics service partners, SMAI and IT teams to implement and sustain digital transformation initiatives.
- Measure and report productivity gains and business value delivered through automation projects.
Logistics Systems Management
- Serve as a business owner and subject matter expert for logistics systems including SAP, ShipDoc, transportation management systems, warehouse systems, and logistics databases.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into system enhancement requests, AI use cases, automation opportunities, and data improvement needs.
- Lead system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), AI solution validation, and deployment activities.
- Coordinate system upgrades, configuration changes, and process integrations with IT teams and solution providers.
- Maintain system documentation, process flows, and operational procedures.
- Provide user training and support to ensure effective adoption of new system capabilities, AI tools, dashboards, and automated workflows.
- Monitor data integrity, system performance, AI output reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation.
- Support logistics governance, controls, and audit requirements.
- Drive process harmonization, best practice sharing, and reusable AI-enabled solutions across global sites.
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses for logistics improvement, automation, and AI-enabled transformation projects.
- Support strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and supply chain transformation goals.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, operations analytics, or related functions.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects in a global environment.
- Experience with SAP and logistics execution systems preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, AI tools, or automation technologies preferred.
