About the Role
BOQ Finance is looking for several high-performing Business Development Managers to join our growing Equipment Finance team and drive business growth across key markets. We currently have multiple opportunities available nationally (Melbourne and Sydney), with a critical position based in Adelaide supporting customers, brokers and introducers across South Australia and Tasmania. This role includes approximately 10% interstate travel to Tasmania to further strengthen relationships and support business growth.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding BOQ Finance's presence in the equipment and asset finance market by developing new business opportunities, nurturing broker relationships and delivering outstanding customer outcomes. Working closely with brokers, equipment suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders, you will identify opportunities, structure finance solutions and guide transactions through the lending process from origination to settlement.
This is a highly relationship-focused role where your ability to build trust, provide exceptional service and deliver commercially sound outcomes will set you apart. You'll work collaboratively with credit, operations and banking teams to ensure customers receive a seamless experience while maintaining a strong focus on risk, compliance and responsible lending practices.
You'll enjoy the autonomy to manage your own portfolio, represent the BOQ Finance brand in market, attend industry events and proactively identify opportunities to grow market share within your region.
About You
You are an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in equipment and asset finance and a genuine passion for building long-term relationships. You understand the commercial equipment finance market and have hands-on experience structuring transactions, navigating credit requirements and delivering solutions that create value for customers, brokers and the business.
You are commercially minded, self-motivated and highly customer focused. Whether working with brokers, customers or internal stakeholders, you are known for your professionalism, responsiveness and ability to influence outcomes. You enjoy being in market, developing new business opportunities and building trusted partnerships that lead to sustainable growth.
Your strong understanding of commercial lending, credit processes and asset finance products enables you to confidently support customers across a broad range of equipment finance needs. Combined with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities, you consistently deliver a high standard of service and execution.
Most importantly, you bring proven experience within equipment and asset finance, strong business development capability and a desire to be part of a collaborative, customer-focused team committed to achieving exceptional outcomes. This is an opportunity to join a respected brand, build meaningful industry relationships and play an important role in the continued growth of BOQ Finance.
