Role summary:The Senior Manager, Airline Procurement leads the execution of strategic sourcing and category management initiatives to optimize cost efficiency and mitigate risks across complex supply chains. About the team:
Our team supports global Procurement and Travel Operations, focusing on maximizing savings and value for Walmart Global Enterprise. We collaborate with leading travel suppliers, applying strategic sourcing and negotiation to secure optimal contracts. Engaging with multiple global suppliers and internal stakeholders, we develop and execute comprehensive supplier strategies. Reporting to senior leadership, the team drives cost efficiencies and risk mitigation while maintaining strong supplier relationships. This group plays a key role in advancing operational excellence and supporting Walmart’s continued success through data-driven insights and strategic partnership management.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and execution of category strategies to identify savings opportunities and optimize supplier selection.
- Manage complex sourcing events and negotiate contracts to drive cost efficiencies and mitigate risks.
- Oversee supplier relationship management, conducting performance reviews and fostering strong partnerships.
- Utilize financial acumen to analyze total cost of ownership and support informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex problems and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating business plans, adapting strategies, and leveraging advanced analytics.
- Mentor and develop team members, establishing performance expectations and promoting a high-performing environment.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in category strategy, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management within complex procurement environments.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to lead fact-based decisions and mitigate risks in high-stakes situations.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including advanced analysis of total cost of ownership and landed cost scenarios to optimize business outcomes.
- Expertise in managing supplier performance metrics and driving continuous improvement through structured supplier engagement.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, develop business plans, and adapt strategies based on industry trends and performance data.
- Proficient in problem-solving complex issues and implementing corrective actions collaboratively.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
