Job Description
As a Security Officer Alarm Signal Coordinator in Parsippany, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will create a welcoming first impression while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communication. You will use computer-based systems to document activity, respond to alarms, and help maintain an orderly environment through exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Manage the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
- Monitor entry points, access control systems, alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related equipment; report unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed.
- Answer incoming calls, receive deliveries, maintain front-desk logs, and communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
