Description
- Standardize and containerize existing applications and services using Docker and define repeatable deployment patterns for cloud-hosted workloads.
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tooling for consistent environment provisioning.
- Provision, configure, and support infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including Kubernetes environments such as EKS.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment, infrastructure delivery, and environment promotion.
- Establish and enforce enterprise standards for cloud architecture, security controls, tagging, monitoring, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Partner with application and engineering teams to migrate existing workloads into containerized and cloud-ready architectures.
- Participate in client-facing discussions, workshops, and status reviews to provide technical guidance and implementation updates.
- Implement observability, logging, alerting, and reliability practices across platform environments.
- Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to align infrastructure and deployment practices with internal policies and best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture patterns, reusable templates, and operational runbooks.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and runtime issues while driving continuous improvement in stability, scalability, and supportability.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Experience operating production workloads in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes; EKS experience is especially relevant for this role.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- AI driven approach to every phase of software development – Design, planning and coding including efficient and responsible use of Agentic coding tools like Claude Code and Copilot
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, storage, monitoring, and environment configuration.
- Experience documenting technical designs, deployment patterns, support procedures, and engineering standards.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Demonstrated professionalism, ownership, and consultative problem-solving in stakeholder-facing environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications into containers or Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Experience with Helm, Kubernetes manifests, Kustomize, or reusable deployment templates.
- Familiarity with security scanning and remediation tools such as Snyk, Rapid7, or SonarQube.
- Experience creating platform standards, reusable modules, or golden-path engineering practices for development teams.
- Exposure to regulated or compliance-oriented environments where governance, documentation, and traceability are important.
