Building Maintenance Internal LCP

 This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. These positions are primarily responsible for upkeep of the facility, which includes landscaping, painting, snow removal, vehicle maintenance and repair, lawn care, pipe insulating concrete/masonry work, and 110/220-volt electrical installation and upkeep.  As well as janitorial duties, and any other assignments given by management. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas.  These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces. 

This position will be working in the coolers on condensation.

The successful building maintenance candidate must complete Level 5 Building Maintenance in the specified time period of (9 months) or they will be returned to their previous department or a production labor position.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants are required to submit a complete application to include all Work History with dates, job skills, and Education. 
•     High School Diploma or GED preferred or 1 Year On-The-Job Training.
•    Application/resume must show work experience or training in these areas:  Must have 1 years' experience or education in at least two (2) of the following areas; carpentry, 110/220 electrical, concrete masonry, pipe insulation, vehicle repair, painting, plumbing.

• Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of TMs from Hourly to upper Management and Government Officials.
• Must be able to read manuals and printed directions to repair equipment and use cleaners, solvents and paints.
• Must be willing and able to work any department or shift.
• Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 plus pounds as necessary. 
• Must be willing and able to stand 8 to 12 hours a day on hard floors.
• Must be willing and able to work in confined space and working at heights above normal work area; use of ladders, lifts, and scaffolds; as well as any other duties as assigned by supervisor.  
• Work in extreme hot or cold temperatures.All Tyson team members are responsible for safety.  This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.
• The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Qualified internal candidates will have less that 6 attendance points and no disciplinary action resulting in suspension in the last 12 months.

Bids are awarded on departmental seniority ie: Harvest/Processing/Freezer

6 month freeze periods from further bidding will be applied to bid winners that bid a LATERAL bid (same grade job) DOWN bid (lower grade job) Self Disqualify or Self withdraw their bid after the award date.

12 month freeze periods will be applied to bid winners that are awarded a bid in another department ie: Freezer/Warehouse to Production or Production to Freezer/Warehouse (this does not apply to Harvest to Processing/Converting)

Internal Job Description

Open to current Maintenance TM's only and awarded bidder will be transferred at current grade and frozen for 6 months from further bidding
