Vein & Artery Surgical Consultants (VASC) is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our growing vascular specialty practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, thrives in a fast-paced medical office, and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service while supporting both administrative and clinical operations. As an important member of our team, you'll help create a welcoming patient experience while assisting with front office responsibilities and providing clinical support as needed.
What You'll Do
Front Office Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner.
- Schedule office appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with questions and appointment requests.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and other required information.
- Complete patient registration and check-in procedures.
- Coordinate referrals and obtain outside medical records as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
Clinical Support
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with Medical Assistant duties as needed.
- Provide additional administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant diploma required.
- Previous experience in a medical office, specialty clinic, surgical practice, or vascular practice preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical scheduling systems preferred.
- Insurance verification and prior authorization experience is a plus.
Position Requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license in good standing.
- Must be listed as a covered driver on personal automobile insurance.
- Reliable transportation for travel between clinic locations as needed.
