Job Summary:
Settlement and Collateral Services is responsible for leading the Collateral Services function across HKEX Clearing Houses, ensuring the effective delivery of collateral management services, including collateral acceptance, valuation, margin coverage, settlement, and reporting. The function plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, strengthening risk controls, and supporting strategic business initiatives. It enables HKEX to manage counterparty risk, comply with regulatory requirements, and safeguard the integrity of clearing and settlement activities.The candidate will be responsible for driving business and operational initiatives relating to collateral management, with a particular focus on repo and fixed income products. The role requires strong leadership, execution and stakeholder management capabilities to effectively coordinate internal and external stakeholders, balance competing priorities, proactively resolve issues, and deliver results within established timelines. The candidate is also expected to lead operational and infrastructure enhancements that support business growth, market development and operational resilience.

Job Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Collateral Services team of the Clearing Houses of HKEX, providing oversight, guidance and accountability for daily operations and exception management
Drive the development and enhancement of collateral management services with a particular focus on Repo and Fixed Income related product initiatives
Lead and participate in strategic projects, system infrastructure, new product launches, regulatory-driven enhancements, ensuring implementation within agreed timelines and objectives
Plan, prioritize and allocate team resources to meet business requirements, operational priorities, and senior management expectations
Drive and identify opportunities for process transformation, automation, to enhance efficiency, scalability, and risk management
Engage with internal and external stakeholders on operational readiness, risk control, service enhancement and issue resolution across settlement and collateral
Foster a high-performance culture by developing team capabilities, promoting collaboration, and ensuring effective succession and talent development.
Job Requirements
Minimum 12 years’ relevant experience in the financial industry, including substantial middle to back-office operations experience including at least 6 years in a managerial capacity;
Strong hands-on experience and in-depth product knowledge of repo transactions and fixed income products, including trade lifecycle, settlement, collateral management, operational risk and control frameworks;
Proven track record in leading business initiatives, operational enhancements, system implementations, or market infrastructure developments.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external parties
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities, with sound judgement in risk and control management
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration or related discipline;
Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage;
Proficiency in Power BI, Access, Excel and PowerPoint is an advantage
