Description
Unleash Your Talents with Us!
Hi there, our future .NET Developer! Happy to see YOU here.
Here at Integrated OS, you'll be part of a team of passionate individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional offshoring services. Bringing in an array of skills and talents from different areas of business from Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Customer Service, and Marketing to Sales and Operations.
From humble beginnings, we have built our company from our first team member onwards. Initially, we were lending support to an Australian print manufacturer - The Lamson Group.
Since then, we have continued to uphold our core values and culture and developed a deeper understanding of how people need help to succeed in their goals. And YOU might be a part of this amazing growth as our team keeps growing above all expectations!
What you'll do:
As a .NET Developer – Legacy Applications, you will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement of an established ASP.NET MVC application and its underlying SQL Server database. The application has been in production for a number of years, underpins live business operations, and is relied upon daily — so stability, careful change control and a deep working knowledge of the existing code matter more here than greenfield development.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working inside a mature codebase: reading unfamiliar code, tracing issues through layers that pre-date current standards, and making measured improvements without disrupting what already works. You will need to be a problem solver, self-motivated and proactive, and able to operate with limited documentation while progressively improving it.
Key responsibilities for this role includes:
- Maintain, support and enhance the existing ASP.NET MVC application, ensuring the stability, security and performance of a long-standing production system.
- Take ownership across the full support and development lifecycle, including:
- Diagnose and resolve defects, production incidents and performance bottlenecks across both the application and the SQL Server database.
- Develop new features and enhancements within the existing MVC architecture, writing clean, well-documented C# that is consistent with established patterns in the codebase.
- Write, review and optimise T-SQL — stored procedures, views, functions and indexes — and tune long-running or resource-intensive queries.
- Test and deploy changes with care, recognising that regression risk is elevated in a mature codebase with limited automated test coverage.
- Reverse-engineer and document undocumented areas of the application and database schema, progressively reducing key-person risk.
- Apply framework, library and security patching, and remediate vulnerabilities in ageing dependencies.
- Contribute to the modernisation roadmap by identifying candidates for refactoring, incremental uplift or migration to a supported .NET version.
- Work with business stakeholders to translate change requests into practical, low-risk technical solutions, and ensure all changes comply with IVE's security, data handling and change management requirements.
Successful candidates must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on .NET development experience, including significant recent experience with ASP.NET MVC (MVC 4/5) on the .NET Framework.
- Strong C# and object-oriented programming skills, with a solid grasp of the MVC pattern — controllers, Razor views, routing, model binding and dependency injection.
- Strong SQL Server skills, including complex T-SQL, stored procedures, views, indexing and query performance tuning against large, established schemas.
- Experience with data access technologies common to older applications (Entity Framework 6, ADO.NET, LINQ to SQL or similar).
- Demonstrated experience maintaining, debugging and enhancing legacy or inherited codebases with limited documentation and low automated test coverage.
- Solid experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap.
- Working knowledge of IIS, application pools, web.config configuration and Windows Server hosting.
- Proficient in version control systems (Git, TFS/TFVC, SVN) and familiar with build and deployment tooling (Azure DevOps, TFS).
- Experience developing and consuming APIs (ASP.NET Web API, WCF or REST services).
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in live production environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members and to explain legacy system constraints in plain language.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A pragmatic mindset — comfortable making careful, incremental improvements to a mature system rather than rebuilding it.
Work Arrangements:
- Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PHT
- Work Setup: Hybrid Setup
- Office Location: Parkway Corporate Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
