What is key about this position?

This role combines two worlds: you architect solutions with and for our customers – and you build. You are the technical driving force of our customer enablement team, working closely with Customer Success: the colleague others turn to when a concept needs to be turned into a running system.
A key focus is hands-on data work: analyzing, cleansing, monitoring, and enriching business partner data for our customers – leveraging AI, our software services, and tools such as our internal automation workbench. You work with our existing prototypes and build your own – not to develop production software (that is what our engineering teams do), but to solve a concrete problem in a project or to demonstrate a solution to a customer: fast, with Python and AI tools such as Claude. In the long run, these capabilities will converge into our AI-based digital data steward for cleansing and monitoring data – and you shape that path.
At the same time, you work close to our customers – Fortune 500 companies in our Data Sharing Community. You deliver integration projects, and you work in forward-deployed project setups that introduce our AI-based digital data steward directly in customer environments: you analyze, you conceptualize, you convince, and you make it work.

Your mission:

• You deliver integration projects at customers: you understand our technical interfaces (webservices, REST APIs) in depth, design how they integrate into customer ERP, CRM, and MDM landscapes (e.g. SAP S/4, SAP MDG, Salesforce), and support the implementation hands-on.
• You work in forward-deployed project setups that introduce our AI-based digital data steward at customers: you analyze the customer's data and processes, develop the target concept, and communicate it convincingly to business and technical stakeholders.
• You work with our prototypes and create your own – not as a software developer, but to convince customers in project setups: using and extending our internal workbench with Python and AI tools such as Claude, you make the value of our solutions tangible fast.
• You perform data analyses and cleansing projects yourself: leveraging AI, our software services, the workbench, and your own prototypical extensions, you analyze, cleanse, monitor, and enrich customer data end-to-end.
• You align continuously with our Product Owners and Product Managers: you channel field experience and customer requirements into the roadmap and validate new capabilities in practice.
• You support our customers with technical questions and back our pre-sales activities: value argumentation, technical expertise, and initial data analyses – for example with our workbench.
• You share your knowledge actively in the team: you establish good practices, enable colleagues such as Business Analysts and junior architects, and act as a technical sparring partner.

• You bring experience with web/cloud technologies and SaaS – whether from several years of professional practice or as a recent graduate (Master level) with strong hands-on projects – and a solid understanding of webservices and APIs (REST, SOAP): solid enough to explain them to customers and to design integrations with them.
• You combine strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills: you structure unclear problems, translate customer requirements into solution designs, and present your conclusions convincingly to business and technical stakeholders.
• You are proficient in Python and use AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, LLM APIs) to prototype and build solutions – not just to answer questions.
• You are excited by the vision of an AI-based digital data steward and want to shape how AI agents change data management at large enterprises.
• You know your way around data: data quality, data management, or master data topics are familiar territory; experience with SAP S/4, SAP MDG, or Salesforce is a plus.
• You enjoy sharing knowledge and enabling colleagues – and you have the potential to take on more responsibility as the team grows.
• You have excellent communication skills in English; German is a strong plus.
• You appreciate the advantages of a decentralized organization where everyone works from home. You will handle 90%+ of your tasks from your home office.
