The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy in Sevlievo as a Strategic Buyer and play a key role in shaping supplier partnerships, driving sourcing strategies, and delivering value across the supply chain. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to negotiate supplier agreements, optimize costs, and ensure quality, delivery, and sustainability targets are met. We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded professional with strong negotiation and communication skills, ideally with experience in supply chain, sales, or related fields. How you’ll make an impact
- Identify new suppliers in partnership with the relevant category team and qualify them in collaboration with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
- Negotiate agreements with key suppliers and periodically renew pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Adapt the corporate contractual framework to local business needs, recommend framework agreements to management, and execute approved arrangements.
- Process and evaluate bids to determine the best overall value.
- Support bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market intelligence.
- Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and lead times, and drive resolution of performance issues.
- Align supplier orders with customer requirements based on ERP, SOP, and project specifications, ensuring targets for quality, delivery, sustainability, and cost are achieved.
- Execute all Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities for goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain supplier data within the global supplier relationship management platform and ensure suppliers are appropriately qualified.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related function.
- Experience working with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Project Management experience is considered a plus.
- Strong English language proficiency and negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritization capabilities.
- Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn about new technologies.
- Collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
