The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and efficient exterior facility operations. This role ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations while managing equipment, performing seasonal maintenance, and coordinating repairs. The technician supports cost control through effective sourcing and budget management, leads third-party providers, and delivers quality service to meet facility and customer needs. What you'll do:

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational standards.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and documentation compliance.
• Coordinate purchases and control costs by sourcing parts, equipment, and supplies.
• Lead third-party providers and support associate development through coaching and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies while promoting a safe and ethical work environment.

What you'll bring:

• Proven ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with experience ensuring compliance in facility services.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving customer concerns.
• Experience managing budgets, cost controls, and procurement of parts, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to lead third-party providers and coach associates to promote professional growth.
• Competence in performing seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to support operational priorities and safety standards.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

21 years of age or older.

Valid state-issued driver’s license.

No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.

No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.

No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.

No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.

Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre- hire.

As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.

2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry

Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card, Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area., Experience in third-party management., Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish., State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
