Head of Growth

Y/n is an AI entertainment company building a new way to experience stories.

Today, millions of people go on Y/n to play the main character in their stories, whether that’s as a boarding transfer student, or Sherlock Holmes’s sidekick on a jailbreak. Their choices change the story and how characters feel about them.

Y/n’s mission is to create virtual realities where people can play, learn, and discover the world. We train AI models to be extremely good at creative writing, storytelling, and worldbuilding.

A few facts about Y/n:

• On average, users spend almost 4 hours a day in the app.
• We handle a lot of volume. Last month, users sent >500M messages in the app. We process 5T tokens per month (>5x more than any competitor).
• We operate our own GPU infrastructure, giving us full control over model inference, performance, and scalability.
• We raised $14M from Y Combinator and top VCs (we’ll tell you who on a call).

A couple of months ago we hit #4 books app in the App Store. We're looking for a Head of Growth to bring us to #1.

As Head of Growth, you'll drive the next phase of our growth and lead our community & distribution efforts. You’ll lead end-to-end creative strategy, from ideation to execution, including building and managing a network of creative partners. Primarily:

1. Producing creative assets (or commissioning them)
2. Scaling and optimizing paid advertisement
3. Coming up with new bets to increase Y/n’s top of funnel

This job is great for you if you:

• Work at leading consulting cos like McKinsey, EY, BCG, or Bain and want to point your operational rigor and creativity at something where you can watch the impact happen in real time
• Or you have led or been part of a growth team at a consumer or prosumer product
• Or you are a PM who wants to own a big surface of the company
