Description
YWCA is currently seeking a Full Time Facilities Manager. This position is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and safety of all YWCA facilities and vehicles. They are responsible for inspecting facilities regularly, scheduling and managing routine maintenance on all building systems, working with contractors and vendors, overseeing improvement projects, and ensuring facilities operate safely and effectively.
Job Duties:
• Manage day-to-day facility and maintenance operations, including implementing preventative maintenance and annual maintenance plans.
• Manage systems for tracking work orders and facility updates, ensuring timely communication with appropriate YWCA Points of Contact and coordination with third-party vendors as needed.
• Ensures that all facilities, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and operated in accordance with policies and procedures of YWCA.
• Coordinate and oversee all vendors and contractors related to maintenance, facilities, and grounds.
• Coordinate with YWCA Volunteer Engagement Coordinator on facility-related volunteer projects, including yardwork, painting, and other special projects.
• Manage contracts related to maintenance, facilities, and grounds, including, requesting and reviewing bids and making recommendations of vendors or contractors.
• Work with outside entities to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities.
• Work closely with Finance Director to prepare budgets related to preventative and annual maintenance plans.
• Schedule and coordinate routine inspections of YWCA properties to monitor maintenance, safety, and overall facility conditions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, repairs, warranties, maintenance activities, and other facility-related information.
• Identify potential safety hazards and take necessary steps to reduce risk.
• Provide routine system checks and maintenance and repair as needed at YWCA locations in a timely manner.
• Maintain record of all facility keys, having new ones made when necessary.
• Effectively plan and coordinate the purchase of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Available for unexpected facility incidents.
Other Job Duties
• Participate in YWCA’s Safety Committee.
• Lead YWCA’s Monthly Facilities Meeting
• Prompt and reliable attendance is required.
• Oversee routine maintenance for agency vehicles.
• Provide current certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions to perform maintenance duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of three years applicable maintenance experience required. Technical Associate degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance with an insurable driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and blueprints.
• Must have excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• An understanding of, appreciation for, and support of the mission of the YWCA of Cass Clay, which is to eliminate racism and empower women.
Requirements:
These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position. While performing the responsibilities for this position, the employee is required to sit, stand, climb stairs, climb, twist at waist, bend, push, and carry occasionally. They are also occasionally required to squat, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach overhead, and drive. Employees are frequently required to walk. Repetitive motions such as keying and data entry, wrist motion, and reaching above the shoulders are performed occasionally. Employees are occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. from shoulder height to overhead, carry up to 40 lbs. push over 75 lbs., pull over 75 lbs. and lift over 75 lbs. from ground to shoulder height.
