Overview
Expleo is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of facilities and workplace services across our UK locations.
This is a visible, varied role where you will ensure our workplaces remain safe, compliant, secure and operationally effective. You will work closely with internal teams and specialist suppliers, using your facilities expertise to improve service quality, control costs and create a positive workplace experience.
- National impact: Influence facilities operations and workplace standards across multiple UK locations.
- Ownership and autonomy: Lead supplier performance, statutory compliance and day-to-day facilities delivery.
- Varied responsibilities: Work across property services, security, workplace experience and operational resilience.
- Strong stakeholder exposure: Interact with all levels within the organisations, across all functions and business units.
- Continuous improvement: Identify smarter ways of working, improve service quality and deliver value for the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead facilities operations across Expleo’s UK sites, ensuring workplaces remain safe, secure, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, resolving service issues and managing critical escalations.
- Ensure Risk Assessment and safe systems of work are embedded in all areas of the business and visiting services.
- Manage facilities suppliers and contractors, including maintenance, cleaning, security, waste, catering and specialist compliance services.
- Monitor supplier performance, service levels, costs and contract delivery and taking action where standards are not met.
- Maintain oversight of statutory facilities compliance, inspections, documentation and corrective actions.
- Oversee workplace security arrangements, including service providers, access control, keys and incident escalation.
- Manage facilities budgets, forecasts and expenditure in line with Expleo’s procurement and delegated-authority requirements.
- Lead and develop a small facilities support team, promoting clear objectives, effective performance and excellent service.
- Work with the Health & Safety Manager to support legal compliance, close audit actions and strengthen the safety culture.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning for workplace-related risks and operational disruption.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve workplace services, employee experience and support for company events.
- In summary the job holder will have/undertake: UK-wide facilities ownership, maintenance coordination, workplace standards and facilities escalation to the role. It also includes extensive supplier oversight, covering selection, performance, cost control, compliance visits and service failure resolution. Statutory compliance, security arrangements, budget governance and leadership responsibilities have therefore been retained as core accountabilities.
