Description
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Product Engineer position in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities:

Work with engineering teams to develop manufacturing methods for high-temperature thermal protection material systems.

Assist materials, process, manufacturing, and quality engineers in resolving technical and procedural issues.

Develop component fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing solutions to improve production processes.

Develop, implement, and maintain engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
-
Follow good manufacturing practices and maintain accurate documentation for component traceability.

Participate in and lead design reviews, including preparation of technical documentation.

Prepare technical reports and communicate product development updates.
-
Develop technical documentation to support product performance and manufacturing outcomes.
-
Collaborate with management, production, facilities, and EHS teams to establish specifications, objectives, and procedures.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and certification requirements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshoot manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience.

Previous experience with composite material fabrication.

Strong technical problem-solving skills and experience in product and process development.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, procedures, manuals, work orders, and travelers.

Experience writing technical procedures, process documentation, and work instructions.

Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD design software.

Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures and material handling requirements.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and work ethic.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:

Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Experience with PLC programming.

Experience with SolidWorks and Abaqus.

Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
