Position Overview:
As a Senior Multifamily Digital Product Analyst supporting the Design System team, you will help advance a scalable, governed, and reusable experience foundation for Freddie Mac Multifamily. This role partners closely with design, product, engineering, and business leaders to translate enterprise needs into component strategy, adoption roadmaps, product requirements, and measurable delivery outcomes. You will bring senior-level product judgment, systems thinking, and delivery discipline to help the Design System team improve consistency, accelerate delivery, reduce rework, and support high-quality digital experiences across the Multifamily ecosystem.
Our Impact:
Freddie Mac Multifamily offers a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive work environment where senior product analysts contribute to strategic transformation initiatives with visibility across product, design, technology, and senior leadership. The Design System team enables teams to build more consistent, accessible, efficient, and scalable digital products by creating shared standards, reusable patterns, and implementation-ready guidance.
Our team is responsible for:
- Defining and maintaining a strategic roadmap for reusable design system components, patterns, and product guidance aligned to Multifamily priorities
- Partnering with designers, engineers, product owners, and accessibility partners to translate experience standards into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and implementation-ready documentation
- Driving adoption of shared components and patterns across product teams to improve consistency, reduce duplicate design and development work, and accelerate delivery
- Establishing governance routines that support intake, prioritization, release planning, contribution models, design reviews, and decision-making for the Design System team
- Connecting design system investments to measurable business outcomes such as delivery efficiency, quality improvements, risk reduction, accessibility alignment, and increased reuse
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to identify cross-product needs, resolve dependencies, and guide teams toward scalable enterprise experience solutions
Your Impact:
In this senior role, you will be a key partner to the Design System team and the broader Multifamily Digital Transformation organization. Responsibilities include:
- Serve as a senior product partner for the Design System team, helping translate design system strategy into prioritized work, delivery plans, and clear execution milestones
- Lead intake, analysis, and prioritization of design system requests across product teams, balancing stakeholder needs, platform constraints, reuse potential, and business impact
- Develop clear user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, release notes, adoption guidance, and decision records for design system capabilities
- Partner with UX, engineering, accessibility, and product leadership to support component maturity, pattern consistency, contribution workflows, and implementation quality
- Identify cross-team dependencies, risks, duplicative work, and scaling opportunities; recommend practical solutions that improve delivery efficiency and team alignment
- Create visibility into design system progress, adoption, backlog health, and value realization through concise reporting and stakeholder communication
- Facilitate working sessions, design system reviews, planning conversations, SME discussions, and release readiness activities with confidence and senior-level judgment
- Mentor and guide less experienced analysts by modeling strong product thinking, structured problem solving, stakeholder management, and modern delivery practices
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent work experience required; advanced product, business analysis, UX, or technology experience preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in product analysis, business analysis, digital product delivery, UX operations, design systems, or enterprise platform enablement
- Strong product judgment with the ability to connect user needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and reusable platform capabilities
- Experience writing high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, process documentation, release guidance, and stakeholder communications
- Demonstrated ability to influence our partners through the facilitation of cross-functional decision making, managing competing priorities, and bringing structure to ambiguous problems
- Working knowledge of UX practices, accessibility considerations, reusable component libraries, design tokens, Figma, Jira, Confluence, and modern agile delivery practices
- Ability to develop and communicate metrics that demonstrate adoption, reuse, cycle-time improvements, quality gains, or other design system value indicators
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to technical, design, product, business, and senior leadership audiences
- Experience in the primary or secondary mortgage market, Multifamily business processes, or enterprise digital transformation highly desirable
Keys to Success in this Role:
- Strategic systems thinker who can connect component-level work to product outcomes and business value
- Trusted cross-functional partner who builds alignment across design, engineering, product, accessibility, and business teams
