As an Employee Health Nurse, you will help foster a culture of safety and wellness by supporting employee health initiatives, administering workers' compensation programs, and helping prevent workplace illness and injury. You'll serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, providing education and guidance that promotes healthy work environments, risk prevention, and employee well-being. This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse who enjoys combining clinical expertise, health education, and advocacy to support a healthy and engaged workforce. 

 

What to expect: 

• Support employee health and workers' compensation programs that promote a safe, healthy, and engaged workforce. 

• Serve as a trusted resource on employee health, occupational health, and workers' compensation regulations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. 

• Conduct post-offer employee health onboarding, including health screenings, tuberculosis testing, drug screening, medical surveillance, and review of job-related health requirements. 

• Review immunization records and administer recommended vaccinations to support colleague and patient safety. 

• Partner with Infection Prevention teams to manage communicable disease exposures, infection control concerns, tuberculosis surveillance, and follow-up care. 

• Assist with the administration and coordination of workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes. 

• Maintain accurate, confidential employee health records and documentation. 

• Evaluate and support colleagues who experience workplace illness or injury, coordinating incident reporting, treatment, and follow-up care. 

• Conduct fit-for-duty evaluations, drug screenings, and medical surveillance activities as needed. 

• Collaborate on respiratory protection, workplace safety, and risk prevention programs across the organization. 

• Partner with leaders and multidisciplinary teams to advance colleague safety initiatives and reduce workplace injuries.

Qualifications:  

• Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date.    

• Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date. Those colleagues hired before January 1, 2020 must provide licensure or proof of application in process in their secondary state by August 28, 2020.  Individuals hired in this role after January 1, 2020, must provide licensure or proof of application in their secondary state by August 28, 2020 or within six months of hire, whichever date is later. 

• Graduate of school of nursing; Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.   

• Current Occupational Health Nurse certification is desirable. 

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required. 

• Two years of nursing experience preferred.
