Senior Product Designer

This is a Senior Product Designer role within Chamberlain Group’s Experience Design group. This role will work alongside other Product Designers, Industrial Designers, and Researchers, and take ownership of complex, end-to-end design problems across myQ’s mobile, web, and connected-hardware experiences.

In this role, the Senior Product Designer will be required to think in systems, moving fluidly between strategy and pixel-level craft. They will be required to conduct user research and use modern AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to move faster from idea to validated solution. They’ll partner closely with Product Management and Engineering, to take a problem from discovery through shipped, measurable outcomes. They will also operate and have influence across multiple product teams, mentor other designers, and help raise the bar for design quality and process across the organization.

Work Experience Requirements: 6+ years of job-related experience

Education Requirements: Bachelor's in Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.

Job Description:

• Own design across a broader product area that spans multiple features, squads, or a full product line within the myQ ecosystem.

• Execute end-to-end design, from discovery, problem framing, and concepts to wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI, and delivery specs.

• Evangelize AI-assisted design and prototyping tools across your teams to help improve workflow efficiency and optimize quality of deliverables.

• Contribute to and advance our design system, creating reusable, accessible components and patterns that scale across mobile, web, and embedded touchpoints.

• Develop deep customer empathy through direct research involvement using both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.

• Partner with multiple cross-functional teams and with Product/Engineering leadership to shape roadmap and product strategy, not just execute against it.

• Collaborate with engineers on implementation feasibility and design-to-code handoff, including front-end concepts (design tokens, component-based UI) to reduce translation loss.

• Present and influence design strategy to senior stakeholders and leadership, using clear rationale, data and storytelling to build alignment.

• Mentor other Product Designers, and act as an advocate for design quality, process, and craft across the organization.

• Proactively identify and lead design-function initiatives (process, tooling, design ops) that raise the effectiveness of the broader design team.

• Stay current on design trends, AI-augmented workflows, and industry best practices, and bring relevant ideas back to the team.

• Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

• Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

The pay range for this position is $85,500.00 - $162,975.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
