As a Global Supply Chain Shift Leader, you will lead the people, processes, and material flow that support safe, efficient vehicle production. You will bring urgency to critical issues, develop future leaders, and ensure that every shift delivers a clear plan, strong execution, and an effective handoff.

This role owns the Global Supply Chain (GSC) shift’s safety, material flow, people development, and GMS SLT performance—ensuring standards are visible, understood, audited, and sustained every day.

What You’ll Do:

  • Protect people first by following plant safety standards and addressing hazards immediately.
  • Set and execute operational priorities focused on safety, staffing, material availability, quality, productivity, responsiveness, and cost.
  • Own GSC performance, compliance, and continuous improvement for assigned GMS SLT elements.
  • Own GMS compliance, floor readiness, and sustained adherence across the GSC operation.
  • Set clear expectations for Group Leaders and Team Leaders and coach them to deliver results.
  • Lead manufacturing optimization and material-flow improvement initiatives.
  • Respond quickly to out-of-standard conditions, production disruptions, material constraints, and escalations.
  • Use data and business systems to identify risk, make decisions, communicate priorities, and drive accountability.
  • Drive standardized work, layered audits, WSS/GMS activities, problem solving, continuous improvement, and waste elimination.
  • Build team capability through coaching, training, recognition, feedback, and performance follow-up.
  • Review operating performance and act on trends in safety, quality, responsiveness, cost, people, and environmental performance.
  • Ensure clear, timely communication across shifts, departments, and leadership levels.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent related experience.
  • 3+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, including direct or indirect team leadership, in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, material flow, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, including resource planning, cost management, scheduling, and execution to meet business objectives and timelines.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a rotating shift schedule, with shift rotations occurring approximately every four months.

What Gives You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • High functional capability with supply chain floor systems – MGO, PPS, PPD, etc.
  • Strong working relationship with Local Union Representatives
  • Exposure to Workplace Safety Systems
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
