The Role
The FP&A Analyst turns BRAVAS’s financial and operational data into clear, timely insight that helps leaders plan, prioritize, and grow profitably. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and partnering closely with Accounting, Operations, Sales, and location leadership, this role supports the annual budget, rolling forecasts, monthly variance analysis, and management reporting across BRAVAS locations. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports; it does not own the general ledger or month-end close, but it works hand in hand with Accounting to make sure every number ties out. This role blends analytical rigor with clear business communication: delivering accurate, on-time reports and models that location and executive leaders trust and act on, while embodying our six core values: collaborative, accountable, proactive, curious, passionate, and creative.Responsibilities
- Build budgets and forecasts: Prepare the annual operating budget and monthly rolling forecasts for revenue, gross margin, labor, and operating expenses at the location and company level.
- Analyze monthly results: Deliver budget-vs-actual and prior-period variance analysis each month, explaining the drivers behind revenue, margin, and expense movements in plain language.
- Model project profitability: Analyze margin by project, job type, and location, identifying patterns in labor utilization, change orders, and equipment costs that affect profitability.
- Partner with business leaders: Work with location, operations, and sales leaders to gather forecast inputs, review results, and support pricing, hiring, and investment decisions with data.
- Prepare executive reporting: Produce monthly management reporting packages and leadership presentation materials that summarize performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Maintain systems and data: Keep FP&A models and reports current in Excel and NetSuite, and reconcile data from operational systems so reporting stays accurate and consistent.
- Track key metrics: Monitor and report KPIs such as revenue backlog, gross margin by location, labor utilization, cash flow, and operating expense ratios.
- Improve planning processes: Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports, strengthen model controls, and shorten the forecast cycle.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, lookups, and pivot tables; experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP is desirable, and familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft 365 is a plus.
