Position Overview

The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats elders with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. Working alongside our interdisciplinary team, the SLP develops individualized treatment plans to promote independence, safety, and meaningful improvements in quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each elder's needs and goals.
• Provide dysphagia treatment and recommend safe swallowing strategies.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and rehabilitation teams to coordinate care.
• Educate elders, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning and discharge recommendations.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Kentucky SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to person-centered care.
