Job Purpose

The Technology Manager – Electrical & Cab Systems will lead the MTP India engineering team responsible for Electrical Lines Integration (ELI) and Cab systems, providing people leadership, technical direction, system ownership, and execution excellence across current and future Medium Tractor Products.

The role will build and develop a strong India-based systems engineering organization capable of partnering effectively with global MTP teams and delivering product-development commitments across scope, timing, cost, quality, reliability and customer requirements.

The Technology Manager will be accountable for developing engineering capability, assuring technical quality, deploying resources against business priorities, strengthening global collaboration, and developing the next generation of technical and project leaders within the organization.

The proposed organization already combines Electrical Lines Integration & Cab under one SG24 Technology Manager and identifies the team as an L4 systems organization.

  • Ensure robust requirements, integration, FMEA, validation and release.
  • Balance reliability, cost, safety and customer needs; resolve system issues.

Deliver Program & Product Commitments

  • Deliver to scope, timing, cost and quality targets.
  • Plan milestones and resources; mitigate technical and schedule risks.
  • Close design, manufacturing, supplier and field issues on time.

Global Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as primary India interface for global Electrical & Cab stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers and quality.
  • Influence decisions and represent the team in global reviews.

Build Technical Capability & Engineering Excellence

  • Build a capability roadmap and close critical skill gaps.
  • Grow engineers toward subsystem and L4 system ownership.
  • Drive mentoring, knowledge transfer, Lean/CPI and automation.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Attract, develop and retain high-performing engineering talent.
  • Coach on performance and build succession for critical roles.
  • Foster ownership, inclusion and continuous improvement.

The current organizational proposal anticipates Technology Managers with a focused L4 mandate and approximately 15 to 20 direct reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/master’s in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering.
  • Strong product-development experience in off-highway, automotive or similar complex products.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams.
  • Solid grasp of systems engineering and product-development processes.
  • Track record delivering to scope, schedule, cost and quality.
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with electrical installation, electrical architecture, harnessing, cab/operator environment or related machine systems.

  • Working knowledge of FMEA, APQP, validation, DFM&A, engineering release and structured problem solving.
  • Experience with product cost, quality improvement and manufacturing/supplier collaboration.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams.
  • Lean, CPI or Six Sigma experience.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Proven record of developing electrical and cab engineers into subsystem and L4 owners.
  • Experience building skill matrices and development plans for electrical and cab competencies.
  • Strength in setting clear goals and running regular performance check-ins.
