Senior Software Engineer, React Native Mobile

Job Summary
Role Purpose
Candescent is searching for a Senior Software Engineer, React Native Mobile to join the Engineering team. This role will help shape strategic architecture decisions while building, deploying, and supporting enhancements to our digital banking platform.
The engineer will partner closely with the Lead Architect, React Native Mobile Architect, UX/UI designers, server-side engineers, and other Engineering leads to deliver highly configurable, extensible, and intuitive mobile experiences.
The ideal candidate combines deep React Native expertise with hands-on coding ability, sound architectural judgment, and a practical approach to solving complex problems in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
• Develop highly configurable, extensible, and pluggable React Native applications.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create clean, intuitive user interface components.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of extensive React Native experience, including native code components.
Preferred Distinctions
• Experience with mobile application CI/CD and publishing tools, including Apple App Store Connect, TestFlight, Google Play Store, Firebase Console, App Tester, Azure, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
• Working knowledge of ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, iOS Swift/Objective-C, CocoaPods, Android Kotlin/Java, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Xcode, Android Studio, and Visual Studio Code.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and stay motivated.
• Ability to break down complex problems and communicate clear, easy-to-understand solutions and code examples.
• Open-minded approach to applying reusable web concepts in native applications.
