About the Role

Zekelman Industries is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern & Content Creator to join our team for Summer 2027. This on-site internship opportunity is based in Chandler, Arizona, and the official Zekelman internship program runs from May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience creating engaging social media content that showcases our multifamily communities, resident experiences, apartment homes, amenities, and local neighborhoods while supporting leasing and brand awareness initiatives across our portfolio.

Working closely with the Marketing team, Property Managers, and Leasing Teams, you will help bring our communities to life through photography, videography, content creation, and storytelling. This internship offers the opportunity to develop real-world marketing experience while learning how social media supports resident engagement, leasing performance, and brand growth in the multifamily housing industry.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys content creation, social media trends, visual storytelling, and building engaging digital experiences.

What You'll Do

• Travel to Zekelman Property Management (ZPM)-managed communities to capture photo and video content showcasing apartment homes, amenities, resident events, community features, and neighborhood attractions.
• Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reels, Stories, and other social media platforms.
• Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to coordinate property visits and content opportunities.
• Follow content calendars, brand guidelines, shot lists, and campaign objectives to support marketing initiatives.
• Capture and edit short-form video content optimized for social media engagement and platform performance.
• Produce content that highlights resident lifestyle, community experiences, leasing opportunities, amenity upgrades, and new property developments.
• Operate cameras, mobile devices, tripods, gimbals, and other content creation equipment to produce high-quality visual assets.
• Edit content using Canva, Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar tools while incorporating current social media best practices.
• Maintain consistent branding across communities while tailoring content to specific audiences and local markets.
• Research social media trends, emerging content formats, and digital marketing best practices.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining content libraries and digital assets.
• Track property visits, content creation activities, mileage, and related administrative tasks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
• Passionate about social media, content creation, digital storytelling, and emerging online trends.
• Experience creating photo and video content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube.
• Skilled in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar content creation and editing tools.
• Strong visual eye for photography, videography, composition, and branding.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while making thoughtful creative decisions.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties as needed
• Interest in real estate, multifamily housing, lifestyle marketing, or resident engagement is a plus.
