Senior .NET Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Develop, optimize, and manage SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, query performance, and database schema management.
• Design and implement reliable API integrations with core banking systems, payment platforms, and third-party financial services.
• Implement resilient integration mechanisms, including idempotency, error handling, retry strategies, and transaction reconciliation.
• Apply security best practices across applications and APIs, including authentication, authorization, two-factor authentication (2FA), and secure coding principles.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality, reliability, and system stability.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions across development and production environments.
• Take ownership of the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance financial technology solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations, security standards, and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in C# and .NET development, with extensive hands-on experience in ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Previous experience in banking or fintech, particularly with core banking systems, payment processing, or financial API integrations.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including stored procedures, query optimization, and database schema management.
• Solid experience in REST API design and integration, including resilience, idempotency, error handling, and reconciliation with internal and external systems.
• Good understanding of application security, including authentication, authorization, 2FA, cryptography fundamentals, and secure coding practices.
• Strong experience with automated testing and software development best practices.
• Demonstrated ownership of technical solutions throughout the development lifecycle, from design to production.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing requirements.
• Good written communication skills in English and fluency in Arabic for day-to-day communication.
• Ability to work effectively within a regulated environment and adhere to relevant security and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React and TypeScript or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with payment integrations, including card payments, instant payments, or bill-payment systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Redis, and enterprise messaging technologies.
