What's the Project?
Our client is a well-established company in the luxury retail industry undergoing a significant technology transformation. Newfire is supporting the modernization of its engineering ecosystem, including business-critical enterprise systems, e-commerce operations, and integrations.
The client currently operates several applications and integration workflows within a Microsoft-based environment running on Azure. Its enterprise ecosystem includes Microsoft Dynamics GP, as well as Odoo, which supports one of the company’s key sub-brands.
This is not a greenfield project. You will help improve and maintain existing production systems, strengthen integrations, resolve technical debt, and support the continued evolution of the client’s enterprise platforms.
Your day-to-day activities:
- Build, maintain, and improve backend services using C# and .NET.
- Develop and support REST APIs and integrations between enterprise systems, internal applications, and third-party platforms.
- Work extensively with SQL, stored procedures, and business-critical data workflows.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, data issues, and production problems.
Support the technical health of the client’s Microsoft Dynamics GP ecosystem and related applications. - Learn the client’s Odoo environment and gradually contribute to its maintenance, integrations, and custom functionality.
- Improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of existing systems.
- Collaborate with technical leads and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Document integrations, system behavior, and important technical decisions.
- Adapt across platforms as the client’s enterprise technology strategy continues to evolve.
- As a Senior team member, you will be expected to actively participate in our hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles across the company.

You’re a perfect match if you have:
- 6+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Strong production experience with C# and .NET.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, including stored procedures and troubleshooting database-related issues.
- Experience building, maintaining, or improving REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Experience working with existing production systems and resolving technical debt.
- The ability to understand business-critical workflows and translate them into reliable backend solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- The ability and willingness to learn Python, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics GP, or other enterprise platforms quickly.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Professional experience with Python.
- Experience developing or customizing Odoo modules.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central, or another ERP platform such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Experience working with Azure or Microsoft-based enterprise environments.
- Experience with e-commerce or retail platforms.
- Knowledge of finance, inventory, order management, or supply-chain processes.
- Experience with bulk data synchronization, batch processing, or complex data integrations.
- Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, or Azure SQL.
