Commercial Mechanical HVAC & Piping Process Pipe Estimator Boston South ShoreOur Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Pipe Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in our estimating department, specializing in accurately evaluating and pricing process piping projects. This individual will work closely with our project teams to ensure precise and competitive estimates, contributing to the success and growth of our operations.RESPONSIBILITIES:Team mindsetKnowledge and understanding of Process Piping SystemsAbility to multi-task, self-motivate and handle multiple projects at one timeReviewing project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and project requirements.Developing cost estimates based on the scope of work, including materials, labor, and equipment.Collaborating with project managers and other team members to identify opportunities to reduce costsConducting site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.Communicating with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and availability information for materials and equipment.Preparing and submitting bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and project timelines.QUALIFICATIONS:2 years of Process Pipe estimating experience preferred; or 5 years of relevant pipe trade experience in the mechanical construction industryBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent; preferred but not requiredDemonstrated estimating experience in mechanical process piping or relevant pipe trade estimating experienceExperience within more or one of the following sectors: Pharmaceutical, Life Science, Manufacturing, Industrial, Food & Beverage or Water & Wastewater marketsEstimating software experienceRevit, 3D model experience is a plusMust have excellent Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Word and ExcelProven ability to work closely and efficiently with clients and co-workers in a professional, business environmentWHY JOIN US:the firm has been voted one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ by the Boston Business Journal multiple years in a row!At Cox Engineering, we believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment where every team member has the opportunity to thrive.
