Service Technician – Electrical (Low & Medium Voltage)
Location: Belgium (mainly Ghent area)

 

About the Role

As an Electrical Service Technician, you will be involved in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low- and medium-voltage systems across multiple sites in Belgium, primarily in the Ghent region.

You will contribute directly to ensuring the performance, safety, and long-term reliability of modern energy infrastructures.

 

Main Duties

  • Install and assemble low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment, including switchgear
  • Perform cable terminations in accordance with applicable regulations (AREI)
  • Execute commissioning activities, testing, and inspections of electrical systems
  • Identify faults and carry out corrective actions either independently or in coordination with third parties
  • Conduct electrical measurements and document findings through detailed service reports
  • Review technical documentation, materials, and work instructions before starting activities
  • Apply and promote strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on site

Your Background

  • Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or similar field
    or equivalent hands-on experience (3–5 years)
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Customer-focused mindset with good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work across different sites (mainly Ghent region)
  • Availability to travel occasionally to the Netherlands for training
  • Good command of Dutch and English (French is an advantage)
  • Valid driving licence (Category B)
