Manager, Food & Beverage Products

The Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Products sits within the Finance function and serves as the bridge between F&B operations, Finance, and Technology. The role partners with F&B operations, ERP, Finance, Data, supply chain, and platform teams while focusing on the Finance-owned capabilities that support F&B performance. Working with restaurant leaders, chefs, Finance, Procurement, property teams, and technology partners, the role translates business opportunities into product priorities, requirements, controls, analytics, and scalable solutions.

The role will focus on the F&B Strategic Initiative, focused on improving F&B contribution margin, financial visibility, productivity, operating leverage, and control effectiveness through technology, operational processes, Finance workflows, data, analytics, and decision support. A central mandate is end-to-end menu engineering enablement: connecting ingredient and recipe economics to COGS, menu-item pricing, transaction volumes, sales mix, and realized contribution margin so F&B and Finance leaders can make faster, fact-based pricing, product, and performance decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Product Ownership & Governance

  • Own end-to-end functional performance: maintain accountability across the full F&B Finance-enabled process—from opportunity identification and process design through requirements, delivery, adoption, ongoing operation, issue resolution, and value realization—to ensure integrated processes and capabilities function as designed and achieve intended business outcomes.
  • Own the business product vision, roadmap priorities, and requirements for F&B capabilities within the Finance portfolio, including ERP-enabled processes and capabilities that support recipe economics, cost visibility, pricing decisions, margin analysis, management reporting, Finance workflows, controls, and performance insights.
  • Translate F&B Operations and Finance needs into process requirements, user journeys, user stories, acceptance criteria, data definitions, control requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead discovery, prioritization, prototyping, requirements validation, user acceptance testing, Finance readiness, adoption, and post-launch value reviews.
  • Prioritize investment using contribution-margin potential, productivity, control improvement, financial insight, operator impact, strategic alignment, risk, scalability, and delivery effort.
  • Partner with ERP, Finance Product, Data, Engineering, supply chain, F&B technology, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated, reliable, and scalable solutions without duplicating owned platforms or product roadmaps.

Business Outcomes and Value Realization

  • Enable menu engineering and contribution-margin performance: provide the processes, data, analytics, and decision-support capabilities that connect ingredient and recipe economics, COGS, menu-item pricing, transaction volumes, and sales mix, enabling F&B leaders to identify margin opportunities and make fact-based pricing, portfolio, and operating decisions.
  • Define value cases, baselines, targets, leading indicators, and post-implementation measures with Finance and F&B stakeholders.
  • Use ERP, financial, operational, procurement, inventory, and summarized transaction data to identify opportunities and validate whether product and process changes deliver the intended benefit.
  • Embed adoption enablement, controls, and operating readiness into the product plan so new capabilities become part of Finance and F&B management routines.
  • Report roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, adoption, product health, and realized value to Finance, business, and technology leadership.

Data, Controls and Enablement

  • Define the data, calculations, reporting, and business requirements supporting menu engineering, contribution margin, pricing, COGS, sales mix, and management reporting, including Finance control requirements such as data validation, reconciliations, approval workflows, exception monitoring, and role-based access.
  • Partner with ERP and supply chain teams when requirements affect ERP-managed items, vendors, purchasing, inventory, costing, or related supply-chain data.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics and restaurant technology teams for governed access to POS or guest-platform data while keeping ownership with those teams.
  • Identify whether an opportunity is best addressed through process change, an ERP capability, another Finance platform, reporting and analytics, workflow automation, or a lightweight complementary application.
  • Support scalable adoption through user readiness, change plans, training content, feedback loops, and post-launch continuous improvement.

What You Bring:

  • Five or more years of relevant experience across restaurant, foodservice, hospitality, restaurant technology, F&B Finance, enterprise systems, or a related environment, with meaningful exposure to restaurant operations and commercial performance.
  • Experience in Finance product management, product ownership, ERP business enablement, restaurant finance technology, restaurant systems, or technology-enabled Finance transformation, including experience translating business needs into requirements and supporting adoption and change.
  • Strong understanding of menu engineering and recipe costing, including ingredients, recipe quantities and yields, COGS, menu-item pricing, sales volumes, sales mix, and contribution margin.
  • Working knowledge of ERP-enabled processes and how Finance, procurement, inventory, costing, operational data, controls, and reporting work together.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across F&B Operations, Finance, Product, ERP, Data, Engineering, and external partners.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with ERP, analytics, collaboration, process-mapping, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with D365 or another ERP, EPM/planning tools, Power BI, workflow automation, or restaurant performance analytics is an asset.
  • Experience in a multi-property hospitality, multi-unit restaurant, branded restaurant, or foodservice environment is an asset.

Who You Are:

  • Business-minded and curious: You take the time to understand how restaurants operate, ask thoughtful questions, and connect operational needs with Finance and technology solutions.
  • Collaborative and influential: You bring people together across F&B, Finance, and Technology, facilitate productive conversations, and build alignment without relying on direct authority.
  • A strong problem solver: You work through complex business, data, process, and technology challenges and translate them into practical recommendations.
  • Thoughtful about priorities: You balance business value, user needs, risk, controls, scalability, and effort to determine where to focus.
  • Accountable and organized: You manage multiple priorities and dependencies, keep initiatives moving, and follow through from opportunity through implementation and results.
  • Focused on the user: You understand the realities of restaurant operations and look for solutions that work for properties while supporting Finance requirements and enterprise standards.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 CAD
