Description
- Assist doctors and technicians with daily hospital tasks and animal handling.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, treatment areas, exam rooms, and surgery areas.
- Provide clean bedding, fresh water, and litter pans for patients.
- Feed hospitalized pets and assist with administering medications as directed.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, laundry, towels, gowns, and equipment.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital and grounds.
- Follow daily disinfection and sanitation protocols.
- Monitor hospitalized pets and report changes in condition or behavior to the medical team.
- Restock hospital supplies and maintain organized work areas.
- Assist with patient monitoring during anesthesia procedures when needed.
- Support the team with additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain professionalism and compassionate communication with clients, patients, and coworkers.
- Uphold high standards of sanitation, safety, and sterile technique.
- Work efficiently in fast-paced and high-stress situations.
- Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude.
- Accept constructive feedback professionally and contribute to a supportive team culture.
- Follow hospital procedures, policies, and standard operating protocols.
- Comfortable using digital platforms including IDEXX Neo, Gmail, and Google Drive.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous veterinary or animal care experience highly preferred.
- Experience with IDEXX Neo software and IDEXX laboratory systems is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the veterinary field.
- Ability to multitask and work independently when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic.
- Must be able to lift and move 50+ pounds.
- Weekend availability required.
