About the Role
- Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams on multiple Molding programs to ensure appropriate APQP and proactive quality tools are being properly and thoroughly executed on a timely basis.
What You Will Do
- Support and leadership on Quality, product integrity and continuous improvement processes.
- Participate as an active member of the APQP team; complete all APQP tasks as required. Assist in GD&T determination and identify SPC (Statistical Process Control) requirements.
- The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring consistent quality assurance and fostering positive internal customer relationships.
- This role involves leading internal and external quality initiatives, facilitating problem-solving activities.
- Supports molding operations meet efficiency and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of production processes and launches.
- Provide technical support for quality-related tasks during production and launch activities.
- This position will also play a key role in trouble-shooting product and manufacturing quality issues utilizing root cause analysis techniques, statistical analysis, and basic metrology.
- Receive and release raw material according to the Incoming Inspection standards (resin).
- Define and update the Incoming Inspection process to resin (procedure & formats).
- Monitoring the movements in the Hold/quarantine area materials.
- Generate, update and release each procedure in the quality area.
- Define the operation capacity & hiring plan in the quality area.
- Purchase management for each requirement in the quality area: equipment, tool, furniture store, etc.
- Following up to OPEX, CAPEX, decision matrix or Garner into the quality area.
- Management of the metrology area: personnel, equipment, GR&R, FAI, new product validation, etc.
- Development of the documentation according to the Management System to the areas such as: incoming Inspection, Quality process, APQP, metrology, Quality System.
- Follow up to the validation of the checking fixture to measure or validation parts.
- Leading the management review.
- Define KPI & goals in the molding Quality department.
- Leading and follow up to CQI-23, Ford MSA, IATF audits and assurance the activities.
- Following up to corrective actions from internal and external audits.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Minimum of 5 years in automotive industry (molding)
- Work knowledgably with the following quality systems: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- English 85% (Required)
- Experience in statistics (CPK-PPK etc.)
- Required Knowledge: Six Sigma (GB), 8 D’s, AIAG Tools, DT & G – DOE, Project management & Problem solution, Lean Manufacturing, ISO/TS 16949 knowledge.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience in production (molding) lines transfer and validation of process and equipment.
