Description
The Actuarial Analyst will:
Complete year-end tasks such as preparing annual pension statements, member reconciliations and fund reconciliations; calculating Pension Adjustments; determining increases to pensions-in-pay
Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks including calculation of pension benefits for retirement, termination, death or marriage breakdown under various types of plans and preparation of pension documentation for clients and plan members in accordance with pension plan provisions and provincial legislation
Assist in the regulatory processes; such as preparing quarterly pension adjustment reversals and annual information returns
Perform complex calculations and assist with the preparation of actuarial valuations of pension plans and post-retirement and post-employment benefit plans
Draft professional reports and correspondence
Assist with special projects
To be successful as an Actuarial Analyst at Robertson, Eadie & Associates, you will need:
A university degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics and Statistics
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Time management skills and the ability to set priorities when faced with competing deadlines
The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment but also efficient when working independently
Good communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong problem solving skills
Strong client focus and professional acumen
All-star candidates will have:
Familiarity with actuarial valuation software ProVal
Progression towards an actuarial designation
Bilingualism (French and English)

The base salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
