Business Controller

The Headhunter Karriera Ltd., Bulgaria, a daughter company of The Headhunter Karriera LLC, USA, is recruiting on behalf of its client for the position of Business Controller based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Our client, one of the leading distribution companies in Bulgaria company seeking an experienced finance professional to play a key role in driving financial performance, strategic planning, and business decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and business optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate financial performance and provide strategic guidance to senior management.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, investment analyses, and cost settlements.
• Assess business performance against budgets and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop financial forecasting models covering sales, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.
• Analyze operational and financial KPIs and prepare detailed management reports.
• Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives and process improvements.
• Partner with senior leadership by providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement of business processes and overall organizational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Controller or similar finance/business analysis role.
• Strong understanding of sales, logistics, and production processes, with solid knowledge of finance and accounting.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and performance management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and research skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is considered an advantage.
