Job Description:
- Support Singapore securities trading activities and SGX-ST membership readiness from a front-office trading perspective.
- Demonstrate product knowledge across cash equities, ETFs, REITs, index products, total return swaps, stock borrow and lending, futures, options and other Delta One instruments.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Technology, Sales and regional trading teams to ensure effective execution and control.
- Execute and monitor Delta One strategies, including ETF trading, index-related execution, basket trading, equity swap hedging and cash equity flows.
- Manage and monitor delta, currency, execution and operational risks in accordance with internal risk policies and procedures.
- Support development of trading workflows, position monitoring tools, risk reports and process improvements.
- Identify trading opportunities and support business growth while operating within the firm’s risk and compliance framework.
- Maintain strong market conduct standards and promptly escalate trading errors, unusual activity or control issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related discipline; CFA or relevant professional qualification is a plus.
- Relevant experience in cash equity, Delta One, equity derivatives, ETF trading, index trading or securities dealing.
- Prior SGX securities trading experience or ability to meet applicable SGX-ST / MAS registration and competency requirements is preferred.
- Familiarity with Delta One products, including ETFs, index baskets, single-stock swaps, index swaps, TRS, SBL, futures and options.
- Strong understanding of risk management, hedging, market structure and trading controls.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Python, VBA or other programming skills would be advantageous.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external counterparties.
- Mandarin capability is preferred.
