Description
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled Manual Machinist job in Spartanburg, SC. In this hands-on, precision-driven role, you will be responsible for machining high-quality parts using manual equipment, and reading blueprints.

In a Machinist B (Manual) job you'll be responsible for:
- Operating horizontal and vertical milling machines, lathes, radial manual machines, drill taps, key seaters, and band saws.
- Performing quality checks on parts produced to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings using precision measuring devices.
- Operating overhead crane and/or forklift as needed.
- Following all safety rules and maintaining a clean work area.
What you'll need:
- 3–5 years of experience in a machine shop using manual machines.
- Ability to set up and operate multiple machines including horizontal and vertical milling machines.
- Experience with crane and forklift operations.
- Ability to perform pattern and hole layouts for structural steel and/or fabricated parts.
- High School diploma or equivalent (Machine Tool Technology degree a plus).
