Product Manager

Overview

The Product Manager plays a strategic and executional role within the business, responsible for leading product development, strategy, and performance within an assigned business unit. This role ensures the successful launch and ongoing management of a product or product line by aligning business needs with customer expectations. This position will drive product ideation, execution, and stakeholder alignment while balancing customer needs with business objectives. The successful Product Manager will effectively commercialize a new product at launch to gain market adoption and revenue growth.

 

The Product Manager will ideally have experience with health care quality measurement and reporting (NCQA HEDIS, Star Ratings, etc.) The successful Product Manager will be comfortable using AI to develop product features in an accelerated development model.

The Product Manager must lead cross-functional collaboration, influence key business decisions without direct authority, and ensure team consensus to bring products to market and manage their lifecycle effectively. Strong leadership, communication, analytical skills, and strategic thinking are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy and roadmap.
• Deliver product market requirements documents with prioritized features and corresponding justifications.
• Utilize AI tools to create product prototypes and requirements.
• Be an expert with respect to the competition.
• Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
• Perform product demos to customers.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop sales tools.
• Propose an overall budget to ensure success.
• Briefly train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings.
• Act as a leader within the company.
• Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or other field demonstrating technical expertise or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in quality measurement and reporting  including a deep understanding of measure specifications and requirements for NCQA HEDIS and CMS Star measures.
• Deep understanding of a payers claims billing workflow including 837P/EDI standards domain knowledge.
• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret client business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Demonstrated success defining and launching web based services and products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Technical background, with experience in software development.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL querying.
• Medicare Advantage or other healthcare experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Travel as assigned by Leadership (10 -15%).
• Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
• Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

Base compensation ranges from $103,000 to $128,000.
