POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Program Manager, Community Care Center of Excellence (CCCE), under the direction of the Director, Cancer Services, provides leadership, coordination, implementation, and ongoing management of the Community Care Center of Excellence (CCCE) and associated Cell and Gene Therapy, clinical research, and regenerative medicine initiatives. The Program Manager is responsible for operational oversight of program development, grant implementation, clinical research integration, workforce development, quality management, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and performance improvement activities. The Program Manager serves as the primary operational liaison between Enloe Health, academic partners, community organizations, regulatory agencies, and research stakeholders. The position is accountable for achieving project milestones, monitoring outcomes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives designed to improve patient access to advanced therapies and clinical trials.

 

The Program Manager oversees assigned research personnel including Clinical Research Coordinators and Research Nurses and supports the development of sustainable infrastructure to support clinical research, cell and gene therapy services, community engagement, and health equity initiatives. The Program Manager consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Health and serves as a role model to staff and colleagues.

 

 

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field.
• Five years of progressive leadership experience in oncology, infusion services, clinical research, program administration, or healthcare operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex healthcare programs, projects, or service line initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, researchers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring operational workflows, quality initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Experience with healthcare regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.

 

Desired:  

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
• Experience in oncology, cellular therapy, regenerative medicine, clinical trials, or translational research.
• Experience managing grant-funded programs.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), SOCRA Certification, or similar certification.
• Experience with FACT, FDA, IRB, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), or research regulatory requirements.
• Experience supervising research staff.

 

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:

Minimum:

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Desired:  

• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), SOCRA Certification, or similar certification.

 

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical research administration, quality improvement methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements. Knowledge of project management principles, operational planning, performance measurement, and program evaluation. Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives while balancing operational, financial, regulatory, and patient-centered priorities.

 

Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must demonstrate the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and effectively communicate with staff, providers, community partners, academic institutions, and executive leadership. Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present complex data and operational metrics.

 

Must be proficient in developing reports, dashboards, policies, procedures, and presentations. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience with Epic, clinical research systems, quality management systems, and data reporting platforms is preferred. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health Core Values.
