Job Summary
A Teamcenter Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the Siemens Teamcenter PLM system. This includes ensuring system performance, security, and availability, troubleshooting issues, and supporting deployments and upgrades in DTTAP (Dev, Testing, Training, ACC and Prod) environments. The role also involves working with IT and business teams to improve system efficiency, implement enhancements, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of PLM applications in a global scope.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manage and maintain Siemens Teamcenter environment (installation, configuration, upgrades)
- Administer users, roles, access rights, and workflows
- Ensure system performance, availability, and data integrity
- Support integrations with CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, Solid Edge etc.) and SAP systems
- Handle BMIDE configurations, data model changes, and deployments
- Troubleshoot incidents and provide 2nd/3rd line support
- Coordinate with business stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing)
- Manage backups, patches, and environment lifecycle (DEV/TEST/QA/PROD)
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure providers to design and implement new capabilities aligned with security, technology, and architectural standards.
- Drive the resolution of structural and performance-related issues within the PLM application landscape, including deployment optimization.
- Work directly with project teams to deliver robust and scalable infrastructure solutions for PLM initiatives.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance and optimize application performance and efficiency.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of Teamcenter production environments.
- ITSM - ServiceNow, SLA adherence, CAB (Change Advisory Board) participation
- License server administration - FLEXlm, named vs concurrent, consumption monitoring
- T4S/T4SAP admin experience - T4S Admin UI, transfer containers, PLM-SI monitoring
- IAM - AD group sync with TC, user lifecycle (joiner/mover/leaver), role/group structure
- AWC Required Experiences - deployment, solution configuration, SSO integration, indexing services, upgrade management
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions, Effective Problem Management skills.
- Coordinate patches, hotfixes, upgrades, and deployments with internal teams and Siemens.
- Support Active Workspace, Rich Client, server components, FMS, Dispatcher, and indexing.
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and proactive monitoring.
Required Experiences
- 5–8 years TC administrative experience and 2+ years in production support
- Experience with Teamcenter architecture (2-tier / 4-tier), administration and support
- Strong knowledge of BMIDE, ITK, and/or SOA
- Familiar with database management (Oracle / SQL Server)
- Understanding of PLM processes (BOM, change management, document control)
- ITK/C++, C# customization, Java/SOA, and shell/Python for automation (preferred)
- Experience with CAD integrations
